Caparone Winery is the place to visit for classic, age-worthy red wines. Pioneers of Sangiovese and Aglianico in the United States, they also planted the first Nebbiolo in Paso in 1980. Their unfiltered, intensely elegant big reds have given them an international following for over three decades. Most tastings given by the winemakers.
Since 1979, Caparone Winery has specialized in rich, complex red wines, made using traditional minimalist techniques and sold at fair prices. Located northwest of Paso Robles, California, Caparone is one of the oldest small, artisan wineries in the region. The owners strive to make interesting red wines with good varietal character, intensity and longevity - wines that complement fine food.
Caparone has been particularly interested in the three great Italian red varietals: Sangiovese, Nebbiolo and Aglianico. Through the years, we have been dedicated to only the finest techniques of vinification and viticulture, and to giving excellent value to our customers.
Interesting, high quality red wines, sold at an honest price - that is what Caparone Winery is about.
