Discover the rich heritage of Castello di Razzano, where a legacy of winemaking began in 1927 with the Olearo family, blending tradition with innovation in every bottle.
Nestled in the picturesque landscape of Piedmont, Castello di Razzano has become a beacon of excellence in the world of wine since its inception in 1927. Founded by Ernesto Olearo and his wife Clementina Razzano, the winery began as a modest venture at the Cà di Corte estate, known then as Casa Vinicola Olearo.
With only a few hectares of vineyards, the couple laid the foundation for what would grow into a celebrated winery. The turning point came in the 1940s, when their son, Eugenio Olearo—affectionately known as 'Genio'—took the reins of the business. His remarkable vision and entrepreneurial skills propelled the winery to new heights, establishing strong trade relationships across Piedmont, Liguria, Valle d’Aosta, and Lombardy. Under his leadership, the company expanded significantly, acquiring new land and properties, most notably the Tenuta Castello di Razzano in 1968 and Tenuta Campasso in 1975, enriching its portfolio and enhancing the quality of its wine production.
Today, the winery thrives under the guidance of Eugenio’s grandsons, Riccardo and Federico, who joined the family business in 2006. With a shared passion for wine and a deep appreciation for their family's legacy, they embody the determination and spirit of their ancestors as they pursue innovation and excellence in winemaking. Guided by the principles of quality and tradition, Castello di Razzano continues to produce exceptional wines that reflect the unique terroir of their vineyards, while also looking toward a bright and promising future in the wine industry.
