Ca' San Sebastiano Wine Resort & Spa is a unique and charming retreat set amidst the stunning hills of Piedmont, Italy. It all began during the fall of Charles V in Italy, when the Vellano family, hailing from Borgognona, found themselves rewarded with vineyard lands by the emperor for their services. This pivotal moment marked the construction of the winery's first cellar, which was ingeniously carved into the tuff rock, a practice that continued until the late 17th century when a second cellar was built.

This second cellar is now home to the luxurious SPA Acquavitae, where visitors can unwind and indulge in soothing treatments while surrounded by the tranquility of the vines outside. Among the Vellano family, one son, Giovanni—fondly known as Gioanot—opted to carry on the family legacy of winemaking. The enterprise was further expanded by his son Pierino, also affectionately called Pierin, who catalyzed a significant transformation in 1961 by relocating the winery to a new cellar in the picturesque valley below. That same year, Maurizio, the current owner and steward of this rich heritage, was born.

Initially pursuing a path away from the world of wine, Maurizio ventured into software development and then transitioned to autotronics. After spending considerable time abroad, the call of his family's winemaking roots proved irresistible. Together with his wife Daniela, Maurizio returned to his lineage, passionately reimagining the family's venture into a dynamic wine tourism experience.

This evolution culminated in the transformation of Cantina Pierino Vellano into the enchanting Ca' San Sebastiano Wine Resort & Spa.
